COMPANY HISTORY
Cine Sound & Projection Inc. was formed in October of 1994 when our President Doug Mahaney left Famous Players after the closure of their subsidiary General Sound, which supplied sound and projection sales and service to the many independent theatres in Canada.
Cine Sound & Projection Inc. began to build a customer base with independent theatres throughout Ontario providing projection and sound equipment sales and service. Cine Sound & Projection employee's continued to grow to the current number of 7 employees with combined years of industry service of more than 100 years.
Over the years Cine Sound & Projection Inc. has increased our customer profile to include; Deluxe Labs of Toronto, Warner Brothers Canada, Universal Studios Canada, AMC Theatres Canada, CN Tower Maple Leaf Theatre, Imax, Toronto International Film Festival, and Cineplex Galaxy LP. We continue to offer our high quality service and sales to the independent theatres of Canada.
Cine Sound & Projection Inc. is a member of the ITEA (International Theatre Equipment Association) that includes most manufactures and dealers around the world. We are also members of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business that works for the independent business owners.
Cine Sound & Projection Inc. is a dealer for most of the major manufactures in the Motion Picture Industry in the World. Some of these manufactures include Dolby Labs (Sound processors), Strong International (Projection and Sound Equipment), Digital Theatre Systems (Digital Sound processors), Christie Digital (digital projectors), Sound Craft Canada (Crown amplifiers, JBL speakers), Osram Sylvania (xenon bulbs), Kinoton America (Projection Equipment), QSC Amplifiers and EAW Cinema Speakers, Smart Industries (Sound Equipment).
Cine Sound & Projection Inc. is well known in the Canadian Theatre Industry for our quality of work, professional attitude and the quality products we supply new or reconditioned. We have the highly qualified personnel to service, repair and rebuild any Theatre equipment.
OUR SERVICES
CONSULTATION – Projection Booth Planning
Our highly trained staff can work with your architects and contractors to layout your projection equipment to avoid costly mistakes. Working with your prints, we will provide an equipment layout identifying equipment location, electrical requirements, projection considerations and other important projection booth equipment. After the projection room is laid out, we will continue by calculating xenon lamp house sizes, lens requirement screen sizing and speaker layout.
After equipment installation we can run performance to test on equipment to insure it meets your standards for picture and sound quality. Without these tests, even the best equipment may have deficiencies in presentation and performance that may go unnoticed by the untrained person.
NEW INSTALLATIONS
Cine Sound & Projection Inc. can handle all your installation requirements, from the installation of a xenon lamp to a complete state of the art projection and sound system. Our technician’s have many years of experience and can manage it all. Our qualified technicians get the job done the first time all the time.
EQUIPMENT AND PARTS SUPPLY
Cine Sound and Projection Inc. is your single source for your projection booth equipment and supplies. We service and sell equipment for most major projection equipment manufactures.
We can supply all your booth equipment cleaning supply, xenon lamps, leader, splicing tape and many other supplies that you may require.
ROUTINE SERVICE
Cine Sound and Projection Inc. technicians are trained and equipped to service your projection and sound equipment. Our technicians are equipped with the latest in diagnostic and specialized tools for repairing and maintaining your equipment.
Equipment breakdowns are costly and annoying to your customers. Regular Maintenance program established with your theatre can eliminate a lot of problems that cause these breakdowns. Our program includes a specified number a preventative maintenance calls.
EMERGENCY SERVICE
Cine Sound & Projection Inc. offers after hour’s emergency service to our customers. Our goal is to get you back on screen as soon as possible in an emergency situation. We understand that a lost show means lost revenue. We offer an Emergency Paging System that pages one of qualified technicians, who will call you, back within a few minutes. Our customers receive free telephone technical support through our toll free numbers within Canada.
REPAIR AND REFURBISHING
Cine Sound & Projection Inc. has all of shop facilities to repair and rebuild projection and sound equipment. Old projectors can be brought back to life, motors repaired, amplifier and speaker systems returned to peak performance. Problem equipment and components are diagnosed, repaired and returned to use.
EQUIPMENT RENTAL
Cine Sound & Projection Inc. has 35 mm projection systems available for rent. We can cater to both small and large venues. Short or long-term rentals are available.
HOME THEATRE
Cine Sound & Projection Inc. will setup your Home Theatre from mounting a a TV and speakers to a total custom theatre. We can supply everything from the chairs to the light fixtures. Our experience is in motion picture cinema so we will make sure it looks and sounds just like you were in front of the big screen.
